How are you all doing? Hope you had a lovely weekend. I spent mine just chilling while catching up on some missed tv shows and then got some more sewing done. About 2 weeks ago I made my first jumpsuit, I personally love jumpsuits since they are so easy to throw on and style. I decided to make one in a bright yellow since I am seriously anticipating the start of Spring. I kept the styling simple by pairing it with a wide belt to cinch my waist, a pair of printed pumps and a bold tangerine orange lipstick. For those that sew, I have a review of the pattern I used to make the jumpsuit below.
On another note my blog "The Fashion Fanatic" turns the big 3 today! I created this blog during my Spring break from College exactly 3 years ago. It still amazes me that I have this little web space of mine sometimes, I couldn't have done it without all of your love and support. I started out just sharing out my love for fashion and personal style and now I also get to share my love for sewing and the pieces of clothing I handmade. It has been such a blessing to watch my blog grow right in front of my eyes. I really appreciate you taking time to check out my little space, leave comments and even send me emails. I plan on doing this for many more years, so cheers to many more years of blogging filled with more fashion, my personal style and definitely diy sewing.
Happy 3rd Blogiversary to The Fashion Fanatic!
Pattern Description: Loose-fitting romper and jumpsuits have raised neckline, mock wrap, gathered, blouson bodice, front band extending to back neckline, elasticized waist, and side pockets.
Pattern Sizing: It came in a size {6-14} and I made the size 10. The bottom part fits very nice but it's kinda huge on top that why I paired the wide belt with it. Next time I will probably cut a 6 or 8 in the top and a 10 at the bottom.
Fabric Used: Heavyweight Scuba Double Knit Fabric (HERE)
Did it look like the photo on the pattern envelope once you are done sewing with it?Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, the instruction were pretty easy and straight forward.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I absolutely love the tapered leg but I did not like that it is cut big on top.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I am not sure I would sew it again since I still have a few Jumpsuit patterns in my stash. I would definitely recommend if you love a good tapered jumpsuit in a comfy knit fabric.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!
