How are you all doing? I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I sure did attending a Nigerian traditional wedding on Saturday and then a birthday party on Sunday. I had so much fun at both parties and will be sharing what I made for the wedding next week. So today's post features a fun lace bell sleeeves top I made over a month a ago for Easter Sunday service. I wanted something quick and easy to make and went with this simple yet fun top in a lace fabric that has been in my stash for over a year. I paired it with a denim pencil skirt from New York & Company and completed the look with a gold waist belt and a pair of butterfly printed pumps.
For those that sew, I have a pattern review below...:)
Pattern Review: McCalls 7285
Pattern Description: Semi-fitted, pullover tops have back neck opening, button/thread loop and narrow hem and ruffle sleeves option.
Pattern Sizing: It came in a size 6-14 and I cut a size 14.
Fabric Used: White Lace Fabric (old)
Did it look like the photo on the pattern envelope once you are done sewing with it? Yes, somewhat.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? The only change I made was the bell sleeves part, instead of using the pattern piece and gathering it I drafted my own like a mini circle skirt using the measurement of the sleeve opening.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes I would definitely recommend it.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a blessed week!
