How are you all doing? I hope you all had a blessed week. Mine was pretty stressful with school stuff but I am glad it's the weekend so I can relax and catch up on cooking and cleaning. Today's post features my first handmade sweater, Yippee! I try to challenge myself and take risks when it comes to my sewing so the last winter, one of my goal was to make something with a sweater knit fabric. I found this yummy and super cozy one Joann's and I got it in a couple of colors and prints. I decided to make this asymmetrical hem sweater because it really like the interesting hem. I styled it with a pair of jeans and OTK books from Justfab. PS: I have one more sweater knit look, I will share it in my next blog post.

On another note, in exactly 1 month from today I will be turning 24....Gasp! Where did the time go? I normally dread whenever my birthday is around the corner because it reminds me that I am getting older...ha ha (I know people will say I am still young but I feel  like I am growing up too fast, if that makes sense). But I have been doing a lot of self-reflection lately and to be honest the past couple of months has been really challenging especially with school and some personal stuff. With the grace of God I have been getting through the stress and making progress. I am reaching that point where I feel more comfortable in my skin and I am ready to rock this new year of my life. I am so grateful and thankful that I have this platform to connect with so many amazing people (my blog readers).
Thank you for always taking the time to visit this little web space of mine.

PS: For those that sew, I have a pattern review below...:)
Pattern Review: McCalls 7194
Pattern Description: Close-fitting, pullover tops have hemline variations, and stitched hem on long sleeves.
Pattern Sizing: It came in a 4-14 and I cut a size 14
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, super easy!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the different hem and neckline variations. I especially find the asymmetrical hem very cool and unique.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? I did't make any pattern or design changes, cut and made it out of the pattern envelope and I absolutely love the fit on me.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes & Yes! I would definitely make it again next winter if I find the perfect cozy sweater knit fabric.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
