Pattern Review: Sew Over It Ultimate Trousers
Pattern Description: Slim fitting, ankle grazing trousers that is flattering.
Pattern Sizing: It came in a size 8-20 and I cut a size 14, which fits me perfectly
Fabric Used: Black & Tan Animal Print Sateen
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, super easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the the tapered ankle fit, but I wish it was about an inch longer. Next time I make it, I will definitely add an inch to the length.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? I added about half an inch to the hip area since I did not feel like cutting a bigger size and grading it down at the waist.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes & Yes! I am so going to make more in some solid and printed fabrics, Love the fit on me. I would really recommend it if you want to try making an easy pair of ankle pants.
How are you all doing? I hope you all are enjoying the Spring season. Just stopping by to share this DIY pants I made a couple of weeks ago. When I visited London last summer, one of the places on my list to visit was the Sew Over It store. I discovered Lisa Comfort (the owner) on youtube and I am "sew" obsessed with her sewing vlogs. I stopped by the store to pick up some amazing patterns and I am so glad that I did because this Ultimate Trouser pattern is simply the best trousers/pants pattern I have made till date. I love that it's super easy to make plus the fit is supper flattering on my curves. I would recommend making it in a stretch woven as advised on the pattern, that made a big difference in the fit and comfort of the pants. I wore it to church by pairing it with a black blouse and completing the look with a bold colored coat and bow flats. For those that sew, I have a pattern review above...:) Now that it's spring, I am looking forward to share some bold colored DIY makes with you all.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
