How are you all doing? I know I have a bad blogger and I am so sorry for my long absence. The last couple of weeks have been a bit challenging as I wrapped up the fall semester of my second year. I am officially halfway done with my pharmacy school career. I can't believe how fast it's all moving along cos I only have 1 more semester of classes and then a full year of rotations. I am literally trying to enjoy every moment as stressful as it can be because I doubt I am going back to school after this. I have actually been home for about a week now but I fell a bit under the weather and I just recovered. Anyways today's features a simple DIY skirt I made and wore to church last weekend. I styled the skirt with an old blouse bodysuit I got from New York & Company, tights and a pair of black booties from Justfab. Looking forward to sharing more DIY makes with you as I enjoy this winter break.
P.S: For those that sew, I have a pattern review below...:)
Pattern Review: McCalls 7631
Pattern Description: Skirts with back zipper have no waistband and length variations
Pattern Sizing: It came in a XSM - MED and I cut a MED.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes super easy
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love that it's a simple and easy pattern to sew.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? The only modification I made was to use this Tabitha Sewer's video tutorial HERE to add the statement bow to the pencil skirt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes & Yes, It's a basic patten that everyone that sews should have in their stash.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
